Q: What is the difference between cavalry and dragoons?

A: Cavalry travels and fights on horseback. Dragoons travel to           

     the battle on horse, but can fight either mounted or dismounted.

 

Q: Why do your uniforms appear different from the other colonial uniforms

A: Sheldon’s was supplied with its uniforms, arms and accoutrements by the  

     French.

 

Q: What is the hair on the helmet made of and what does it mean?

A: It’s horse hair. It signifies that we are a cavalry regiment. The horse hair has other

     special secret properties that only a member of the regiment or the public may be told.

 

Q: If I were to join the regiment, how many events would I be required to attend?

A: Seven as a foot soldier and nine as a mounted man. Given our campaign season, a

     commitment to do seven to nine events a year breaks down to less than one event per

     month.

Q: What war is this? (Multiple Choice:)

A: a) The American Revolution.

     b) No, the Civil War came AFTER.

     c) No officer, he was brain dead before I shot him.

 

Q: If I were to join the regiment, how much of a dollar investment are we talking about?

A: a) That's a conversation to have with Sal or any other member of the regiment. There

         are ways to do this so that it's fairly painless.

     b) Oh boy! You'd better sit down!

     c) Your wife is going to kill you!!
